Definitely check out Tamara’s latest introspection over at BALLARE, as well as my response. Her aesthetic sensitivity and open eyes keep catching unexpected flies.
I really hope she writes her entire dissertation like that.

and reminded me
that music is more than melody
my thoughts slowed to the speed of surprise
every moment, unmeasured
twenty moments per second, staggered by silence
the clouds scattering before my sonic sight
the latest in lithium ion battery technology
fused
with the ancient sun of Earth

i propose
that virtuality is only a daydream since
you, a flashing strobe in my dreams
materialize before me in a whirl of digits, inconceivably nimble fingers
flickering
between sensation and simulation
we watch from somewhere else, and see
our mutually curious irises contracting from the sunset light
that endlessly curls from my mirrored walls
