Do you like my banana peel?
Posted 06.01.2007 in Random ThoughtsWell, it’s just about June and my site is sporting a fresh new banana peel. I figure that since I get lots of visitors coming from Google searches for things like “banana peel joke origin” and “banana peel video” and “banana peel psychedelics,” I might as well give them something pretty to look at.
Today I steamrolled through Charles Murray’s excellent history of the supercomputer (link in sidebar below), The Supermen. It was the first glue-and-paper book I’ve opened in a while, absorbed as I’ve been in blogs and news sites. I’d almost forgotten what it was like to sit in the sun and get totally immersed in a book, only pausing for sips of sunscreen and lathering on beer. Or was it the other way around?
In any case, my long blog hiatus is finally over. The next post will be my review of Murray’s book.

Yo. Nice new website. Thanks for putting me on there too. How do you do the feed to this new site? There’s no orange button thing. Yes, I know, I am not a technonerd like some people.
What exactly…is the banana peel concept exactly? I gather it relates to complex systems and order or something, but I’m still not entirely sure. Can you explain it in journalist-speak?
